Backend Engineer

SWAG Live is a global media and entertainment company delivering premium adult streaming content on web and app platforms.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Application team. You will work closely with the Product and Client teams to develop and maintain backend features that support millions of requests per minute.

The role involves designing scalable and stable systems, implementing new features, and optimizing performance. We value clean, maintainable code and reusable components built with a simple and practical approach.

Responsibilities

Communicate with relevant stakeholders and develop application features within our services.
Contribute quality code to the code base.
Optimize code for performance and cost.
Debug application bugs in a timely fashion.

Must Have

3+ year of experience of API server development.
Good problem solving skills and mindset through logical thinking. Knowing what is the right question to ask while also not just waiting or asking for the answer.
Proactive attitude towards problems and task assignments. You see it, you fix it.
Good familiarity with Python.
Good knowledge and skills in the following categories: HTTP/RESTful/TLS/Websockets/Caching/MongoDB/Distributed Systems/Distributed Processing/Task Queues/Containerization
Good communication skills.
Good responsibility mindset. We appreciate engineers that are proud of their own work and own up to it.
Good attention to detail.
Good motivation to learn and improve.

Nice To Have

Good familiarity with GCP.
Good understanding of Kubernetes.
Good understanding of asynchronous programming web frameworks.
Good understanding of agile development.

Salary Range

NTD 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 per year
