SWAG Live is a leading global media and entertainment company that produces and distributes premium adult streaming content to worldwide audiences across both web and app platforms. SWAG Live continues to grow its global footprint and is looking to hire a Frontend Staff Engineer.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engineer to join our Frontend Team. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in architecting, developing, and maintaining our primary frontend application to ensure optimal performance and user experience. You will lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient frontend applications.

  2. Utilize expert knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js, React.js, and Next.js to develop robust and maintainable code.

  3. Apply deep understanding of design patterns to architect solutions that are both elegant and efficient.

  4. Demonstrate expert-level understanding of the internal workings of JavaScript on both the client and server sides.

  5. Leverage experience with a codebase deployed to a large traffic service to optimize performance and reliability.

  6. Proactively identify and resolve issues, including debugging in production environments.

  7. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the frontend team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

  8. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including design and product teams, to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  2. Over 5 years of frontend or full-stack experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

  3. Expert knowledge of JavaScript/Node.js, React.js, and Next.js

  4. Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and Service Workers, enabling the development of responsive, reliable, and engaging web applications that work offline and have app-like experiences.

  5. Strong understanding of design patterns and best practices in frontend development.

  6. Experience with a codebase deployed to a large traffic service, with a focus on optimizing performance and scalability.

  7. Proven experience with debugging and problem solving in production environments.

  8. Over 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.

  9. Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  10. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

  11. Demonstrated ability to approach tasks with a goal-oriented mindset, consistently delivering results aligned with project objectives

Nice to have

  1. Contributions to or maintenance of open-source projects, demonstrating a commitment to the developer community.

  2. Experience maintaining a codebase using TypeScript, enhancing code quality and maintainability.

  3. Experience with multiple Javascript frameworks such as Vue, Svelte, Angular

  4. Familiarity with media processing on browsers, such as video and audio manipulation using HTML5 APIs.

  5. Understanding of real-time communication architecture, including protocols like Sockets or MQTT, to facilitate seamless and efficient data exchange in collaborative applications.
